Eco Prints on Fabric
Eco printing on clothing is an eco-friendly dyeing technique that uses the natural pigments from plants, leaves, flowers, and other botanicals to create unique, organic patterns on fabric. By arranging these materials directly onto natural fibers like cotton, linen, or silk, and then applying heat and pressure, the pigments transfer from the plants to the fabric, capturing the delicate shapes, colors, and textures of each botanical. My technique is completely chemical-free, using only natural ingredients to ensure an environmentally safe process. This method creates one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate nature’s beauty while allowing wearers to connect with it in a deeply personal and artistic way.
Eco printing is one of my favourite techniques, as it lets me transform the ordinary into art, breathing new life into fabrics and nurturing both the planet and creativity. Each piece is a story of renewal, a sustainable way to turn everyday materials into something extraordinary and unique.
Dare to embrace your uniqueness and share it with the world. Unlocking creativity goes beyond painting or creating art on paper—it's about expressing who you are in every aspect of life. For me, eco printing isn't just part of my artwork; it also influences my personal style.
Important to mention: I’ve made all this without using chemical mordants to prepare the fiber for dyeing. The process can be done in a small space with accessible materials, making it perfect for upcycling your own clothes.
