Biography

My journey in life and art has taken me across cultures and continents, each experience adding new color to my creative vision.

I have always been passionate about traveling and exploring new perspectives, both in life and through art. Born in Iași, Romania, I studied Graphic Arts and Design at the George Enescu National University of Arts before expanding my horizons at the University of Salamanca and Complutense University in Madrid, where I completed my PhD in Image and Design in 2015. Since 1999, Madrid has been my home and creative base.

Throughout my studies, I was fortunate to receive scholarships (Erasmus, DAAD, EU Grundtwig Program) that allowed me to immerse myself in diverse environments, from Germany to Spain and Poland, each enriching my perspective.

Over the years, I’ve exhibited my work individually in Spain, Romania, and Germany, and taken part in group exhibitions worldwide. Memorable highlights include the International Contemporary Art Fair in Madrid, the Children’s and Youth Book Fair for OEPLI, the Mini-Print Triennial in Tokyo, and the Gaudeamus International Book Festival in Bucharest and Paris.

At present, my family connections extend across the USA, Canada, and India—a country close to my heart—deepening my global ties and constantly inspiring my work. With every place and encounter, I find fresh perspectives that fuel my creative journey, encouraging me to capture the beauty and spirit in each moment.

Personal Thoughts:

Art is a powerful medium for contemplating life and reinterpreting what we observe. It begins with reality as a foundation, which the artist refines and elevates to achieve a deeper, more profound understanding. The artist’s mission is to unveil the essence and pure beauty of things, placing them on a pedestal so others can witness their vibrant energy and significance.

Beyond its visual impact, art serves as an intimate conversation—a dialogue between souls. It reveals the artist’s innermost secrets, speaking directly to the hearts of viewers and embodying an act of profound sincerity. Each image carries a message, resonating with those who are open and ready to truly see and feel.

Art also holds remarkable therapeutic power, providing a path to healing, self-discovery, and growth. It becomes a means of expressing emotions that words often fail to convey, offering a safe space for introspection and emotional release. By engaging with art, one can unlock dormant creativity and imagination, tapping into a wellspring of inspiration that rejuvenates the mind and spirit.

The act of creating and experiencing art invites a break from the noise of daily life, fostering mindfulness and grounding one in the present. This process not only enhances self-awareness but also cultivates resilience and joy. Through art, people reconnect with their inner selves, rediscover forgotten passions, and strengthen their sense of identity. In this powerful blend of therapy and creativity, expression becomes liberation, and imagination breathes life into new possibilities.

My work is deeply inspired by the beauty and resilience of nature, capturing the interplay of light, texture, and color in everything. Leaves are my constant muse—each one tells a story of the natural world that I bring to life through techniques like watercolor monotypes, etching, or eco printing on both paper and cloth, as if attempting to capture nature’s soul on a tangible material base.

In my art I explore the richness of nature’s palette to create pieces that invite viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the world around them. More than just art, my work serves as a doorway for others to unlock their own creativity and rediscover themselves amidst today’s fast-paced, information-overloaded world.

Join me on this journey of artistic expression and personal reinvention, where nature’s beauty meets self-discovery in each brushstroke and print.

Nature's richness is endless, and it's right at our fingertips, waiting to be discovered and transformed into art.
